Viola Engel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Engel of Hays, Kansas, born in Codell, Kansas, who passed away on January 30, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Dougherty and Mabel Dougherty (Kreutzer); her husband Victor F. "Vic" Engel; her sons, Clifford and Dennis Engel; her siblings, Aaron, Frank Dougherty, LaVonne Naylor, Juanita Sprague and Louella Blakesley; her son-in-law Larry Robben; and her grandson Eric Robben.
She is survived by: her children, Alice Robben of Hays, Lois Augustine (Ralph) of Hays and Steven Engel (Robin) of Hays; her grandchildren, Tanya Schwarz (Todd), Misty Gawith (Scott), Jenny Spear (Mike), Trevor Engel, Jennifer Ratliff (Travis), Eric Engel (Jamie), Kelli Engel, Connie Engel, Michael Engel, Christina Staab (Chad), Laura Engel, Kacie Engel, Renee Seltmann, Ryan Augustine (Rachel) and Rachel Pattillo; and her daughter-in-law Carol Landis of Quinter. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren.
