Vernon F. Pfannenstiel Obituary
In loving memory of Vernon F. Pfannenstiel of Hays, Kansas, who departed this world on January 19, 2025 at the age of 88. Vernon leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pfannenstiel and Alvina Pfannenstiel (Leiker); his sons, Darrell and Ron; his brothers, Virgil, Arlen and Dennis Pfannenstiel (Noveline); and his brother-in-law Eugene Zimmer.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his children, LaVerna, Duane (Wanda) and Jan (Dennis); his siblings, Gerald Pfannenstiel (Janice), Lee Pfannenstiel, Mary Zimmer and JoAnn VonFeldt (Darrell); and his sisters-in-law, Delores Pfannenstiel and Darlene Pfannenstiel. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home (1906 Pine St, Hays, KS 67601). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (1805 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601).
