It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon J. Morris Sr. (Hays, Kansas), who passed away on March 17, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernon J. Morris Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Morris and Elizabeth Morris (Burgardt); his son Verdale; and his sisters, Janice Edds, Norma Jean Morris and Fredrica Maddox.
He is survived by: his wife Charmaine Kamai of Hays; his children, Vernon J. Morris, Jr. (Sue) of Logan, Verlon Morris of Spring Hill, Virgie Knoedler (Steven) of Hays, Veronica Rogers of Ottawa and Vermay DeRossi of Lawrence; and his siblings, Harold Morris of Fort Collins, CO and Carol Ostrom of Hays. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
