Vernon Befort Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Befort (Hays, Kansas), who passed away on December 5, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernon Befort to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Befort and Lidwina Befort (Leiker); and his brothers, Earl, Donald and Marvin Befort.
He is survived by: his sons, Howard Befort (LaDonna) of Mechanicsburg, Bruce Befort (Kathy) of Mechanicsburg and Brian Befort (Angie) of Osborne, KS; his grandchildren, Tammy, Kassandra, Britton, Michelle, Maggie, Brice, Brandon and Brooke; and his great grandchildren, Brendan, Ethan, Payton, Piper, Parker and Ava. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory-Brock's Chapel (2509 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601). A rosary will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (883 Moscow St, Hays, KS 67601).
