It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Standlee H. Dalton of Hays, Kansas, who passed away on January 9, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Standlee V. Dalton and Polly Dalton (Jeannine Dalton); and his daughter Lynnly Dalton. He is survived by: his daughter Danna; his son-in-law Randy Kaiser of Hays; his son Thomas Dalton of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Jordyn, Jake Sanders of Pelham, AL, Kallyn, Daniel Givan of Katy, TX, Dallas Kaiser of Tampa, FL and Reagan Kaiser (Joe Haupt) of Pelham, AL; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Jeannine, Emmett, Bridget, Genevieve, Gianna, Jedediah Sanders, Graham, Harrison and Foster Givan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bud's memory to the Hays Arts Council.

“Our grandparents had an extraordinary chance to meet Bud and Jeanine when they stayed in France in the early 60s. Since then they come to visit us and we've visited them some times. Always sharing good times, nice wines, wonderful meals and lot of jokes (not always funny when translated from French..). Lively discussions around politics and family.... Bud was a true gentleman, with wonderful values We will forever cherish these moments We send love and prayers to our sweet american family”

Now, some 50 years later, I’m still employed part time (in my retirement) at a dental office. He shaped dentistry into the fiber of my life’s journey.
