He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Sytsma and Martha Sytsma; his son-in-law Robin Bauer; his stepsister Carol DeHogg; his brother David Sytsma; and his mother-in-law Inez Basgall.
He is survived by: his wife Karla Joyner of Hays, KS; his children, David Sytsma (Nancy) of Wheatridge, CO and Becky Colvard of Hays, KS; his stepbrother George Voss of Evergreen Park, IL; his sister-in-law Vivian Sytsma; and his stepsister Nancy Hollingsworth (Rick) of Benson, AZ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
