He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Peterson and Alice Peterson; his brother Roy Peterson; his parents-in-law, Joe and Ferne Atchison; and his brother-in-law Larry Atchison.
He is survived by: his daughter Roxanne (Mitch Bartels) of Phillipsburg; his wife Rita; his granddaughters, Regan (Zach May) of Oberlin and Tatum Bartels of Hastings, Nebraska.; and his sisters-in-law, Marylln Peterson and Hazel Atchison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to American Legion Post 198 sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, Kansas 66523.
