He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Zakrzewski and Helen Zakrzewski. He is survived by: his wife Martha Verklan of Hays; his children, Mark Zakrzewski (Randi) of San Diego, CA and Andrea Stokoe (Steve) of Eagle; and his grandchildren, Alexandra, Lauren, Caroline, Jacob, Colton and Maverick.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Comeau Catholic Campus Center (506 W 6th St, Hays, KS 67601).
Memorials are suggested to the Department of Geosciences at FHSU or to Sternberg Museum.
