It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard D. Dannels of Hays, Kansas, born in Havana, Kansas, who passed away on February 11, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Everett and Eleanor Dannels (Boone); his wives, Janet Dannels (Larrick) and Matilda Dannels (Werth); and his brother Kenneth Dannels.

He is survived by: his children, Dana Klaus (Rick), Jodi Schmidt (Dave), Brenda Unrein, Erika Coffman (Jeff) and Rick Dannels. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to North Kansas City Hospice House.
