With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raquel Gomez in Hays, Kansas, born in Carrizo Springs, Texas, who passed away on September 8, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernardino Gomez and Isabella Chavez; her son John Lee Gomez; and her stepbrother Joe Villa. She is survived by: her children, Anna Luisa Gomez of Marysville, WA, Estela Felan of Garden City, KS, Josefina Gomez of Garden City, KS, Maribel Gomez of Moriarty, NM, Agapito Gomez of Lyons, KS and Norma Jean Gomez of Garden City, KS; and her sisters, Maria Rosario Uyemura of Las Animas, CO and Ramona Torres of Lamar, CO. She is also survived by 22 Grandchildren, 30 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
