He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hertel and Marie Hertel (Romey). He is survived by: his wife Terri Young; his children, Brad Sarver (Danny) of Wakeeney, Scott Hertel (Angela) of Dallas, Texas and Tina Sarver (Samuel Jordan) of Hays; his siblings, Bob Hertel of Las Vegas, Tommy Hertel of Table Rock, Jeff Hertel of Ellis, Kansas, Mary Hertel of Wichita and Jeanie Pfeifer of Pratt; his grandchildren, Ravyn, Ayden of Kenzie, D. J. and Brinklee; and his great grandchildren, Thackery, Jayce, Adelynn, Rayne and Hazel.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Celebration Community Church to be used for the Baptistry Fund.
