It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcus Roman Weigel Jr. of Hays, Kansas, born in Victoria, Kansas, who passed away on September 7, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Weigel and Sophia Weigel (Nowak); his wife Pauline Rupp; his son Stephen; his siblings, Marvin, Donald (Charlene), Leroy (Agnes), Kenneth (Betty), Darrell (Judy), Robert, Dolores (Peter), Charlotte (Fred) and JoAnn; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Brungardt and Delaine Meyers.
He is survived by: his siblings, Duane Weigel Hays (Marlene), Dennis Weigel Adair (Paula), Carol Brungardt Wichita and Cheryl "Sherri" Engel McPherson (Joe). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to St Joseph Church in Hays and TCLMH-Long Term Care WaKeeney, in care of Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory-Brock's Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
