Lucille Donna Englert Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucille Donna Englert of Hays, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 2, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry "Hank" Pelle and Catherine Pelle (Jostes); her husband Leonard A. Englert; her daughter-in-law Elkie Englert; her brother-in-law Tom McDermott; and her siblings, Donald Pelle, Mildred Dreitz (Alvin), Betty Lobmeyer (Bob), Harold Pelle, Virginia Malone (Park), Doris Weir (Bill) and Bud Pelle.
She is survived by: her children, David Englert of Santa Fe, Gary Englert (Anita) of Topeka, Cecelia Gerstner (Joe) of Eagleville, Cindy Romme (Galen) of Hays, Sonya Drees (Mike) of Hays and Dana Kari of Hays; her sister Diana McDermott of Palisade; her sisters-in-law, Camilla Pelle of Boulder and JoAnn Pelle of Rapid City; her grandchildren, Shelby, Jesse, Allia, Shilo, Logan, Paige (Russell), Tony (Jessica), Jenny (Joe), Grant, Chase, Samantha (Mike), Derek (Madi), Ashli, Vivian, Kaitlin, Haili (Logan) and Toni; and her great grandchildren, Tegan, Azaria, Lily, Liam, Harvey, Nash, Linkoln and Ada. She is also survived by dog, Cookie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Donna's honor may be made to the Arc of the Central Plains, Holy Family Elementary School, or to HaysMed Hospice.
