Lester A. Herrman Obituary
In loving memory of Lester A. Herrman of Hays, Kansas, who departed this world on January 4, 2025 at the age of 88. Lester leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhold A. Herrman and Josephine Herrman (Kuhn); and his siblings, Edna Rohr, Doris Winslow, Elmer, Cyril, Roy, Frank and Donnie.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Herrman (Moore) of Hays, Kansas; the mother of his children Janet Stratton of Great Bend, Kansas; his children, Trudy Alstatt of Hays, Tamy Niernberger of Rose Hill and Curt Herrman of Manhattan, Kansas; his stepdaughters, Cynthia Henderson of Elizabeth and Kimberly Kilhoffer of Centennial, Colorado; his siblings, Carol Danielson, Linda Mayberry and Leon Herrman; his grandchildren, Josh Bantam, Kristin Fox, Brett Alstatt, Brodie Herrman and Mason Herrman; and his stepgrandchildren, Becky, Tammy Niernberger, Drew, Cannon Kilhoffer and Greyson Henderson. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory-Brock's Chapel (2509 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Brock's Chapel (2509 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (1805 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601).
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to be made payable to the Hays Lions Club or HaysMed Hospice.
