It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Fross of Hays, Kansas, who passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Isadore Befort and Rose Befort (Urban); her husband George D. Fross; her stepfather Frank Walters; her son Stephen Fross; her great grandchild Chloe Bunger; her son-in-law Larry Nelson; and her siblings, Mary Alice Walters, Marcella Dreiling (Ray), Cecelia Wolf (Clarence), Catherine Schmidt (Lex), Mary Pfeifer (Al), Alice Windholz (Alfred), Frances Schmidt (Herbert), Rita Mae Walters, Wilma Bieker (George), Miriam Walters, Ralph Walters (Anna Mae) and Robert Befort (Ernestine).
She is survived by: her children, Don Fross (Connie) of Hays, Thomas Fross (Suzanne) of Des Moines, David Fross of Hays, Teresa Nelson of Salina and Rebecca Hertel (Jeff) of Salina; her daughter-in-law Karla Fross of Jefferson City, Missouri; her siblings, Rosemary Gerstner (Ernest), Janet Gerstner (Jude) and Ronald Walters (Pam); her grandchildren, Kelly Echternacht, Dustin Fross, Brandon Fross, Sara Fross, Jennifer Nelson, Joshua Nelson, Jami Bunger, Jacob Fross, Derek Hertel and Megan Hertel; and her great grandchildren, Brooke Echternacht, Claire Echternacht, Joey Fross, Braylin Fross, Connor Bunger, Logan Bunger and Nolan Bunger.
