It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Leon Wolf of Hays, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 89, on January 30, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Wolf and Amelia Wolf (Dechant); his wife Mary Louise Romey of Mary's Catholic Church; and his siblings, Leven, Allen Wolf, Vera Mae Streeter, Loraine Wolf and Ester Wolf.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Campbell of Hays, Pam Gaschler (Terry) of Hays, Sherri Mong (Jerry) of Las Vegas, NV and Janelle Williams (Terry) of Russell; his sisters, Kathy Wolf of Wichita, Geri Lynde of Wichita and Mildred Lusk of Huntsville, AL; his sister-in-law Vicki Weber of Ellis; and his grandchildren, Ashley Lang, Alexis Campbell, Allison Campbell, Adam Campbell, Nicki Younger, Natalie Reuter, Taryn Graham, Sierra Diehl, Chelsea Myers, Hailey Montgomery, Sagan Schultz and Tyler Williams. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home (1906 Pine St, Hays, KS 67601). A vigil service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (215 W 13th St, Hays, KS 67601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
