He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Kohlrus and Anna Kohlrus (Augustine); his wife Marietta Marie Leiker; his children, Michelle, John, Thomas and Bradley Kohlrus; and his siblings, Pete, Jake, Bill, Frank Kohlrus, Marie Alberssen, Rali Ketterman and Eleanor Sekavec-Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Kohlrus (Shelly) of Ellis, Terry Kohlrus (Linda) of Ellis and Mary Detrixhe (Gene) of Russell; his siblings, Robert Kohlrus (Van) of Germantown Hills, IL, Martha Franz (Maurice) of Washington, IL and Jeannie Thorp of Tremont, IL; his sisters-in-law, Mary Margaret Kohlrus of Overland Park, Helen Kohlrus of Renton, WA and Linde Kohlrus of Wasilla, AK; and his grandchildren, Miles Detrixhe, Tasha Keathley-Helms (Derek), Rena Detrixhe, Travis Kohlrus (Susie), Jennifer Sproul (Chad) and Tim Kohlrus, Jr. (Debbie). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Ellis Public Library or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
