She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Tholen and Anna Tholen (Muehlenkamp); her husband Noah Brown; her daughter Mary; and her siblings, Edward Tholen, Margaret Interman (John), Martha Poleman (Henry), Louis Tholen and Harry Tholen.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Kleinschmidt (Mark) of Topeka, KS, Joe Brown (Amy) of Topeka, KS, Sam Brown (Linda) of Hays, KS, Ed Brown of Hays, KS and Steve Brown (Helen) of Hays, KS; her grandchild Treasa Jenson; and her children, Gene Kleinschmidt (Chris), Laurie Brown, Lisa Green, Amanda Cooper, Aaron Brown, Sandy Viegra (Chris), Jeff Brady (Samantha), Josh Keil (Kathy) and Elizabeth Brown (Jeff). She is also survived by her 19 great-grandchildren, and her19 great-great grandchildren.
She donated her quilts to the church to benefit a home for unwed mothers and for auction to benefit the Altar Society.
