Gerald Joseph Vitztum Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Joseph Vitztum of Hays, Kansas, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Vitztum and Helen Vitztum (Polifka); and his great grandchild Madi Vitztum. He is survived by: his wife Christine "Chris" Wickizer of Hays; his children, Mark Vitztum (Brenda) of Wichita, David Vitztum (Joelene) of Hays, Brian Vitztum (Tina) of Hays, Janet Little (Rod) of New Canaan, CT and Joann Komanecki (Craig) of Minneapolis, MN; and his siblings, George Vitztum Jr. (Carol) of Hays and Mary McIntyre of Scottsdale, AZ. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Church or to St. John's Chapel at Via Christi Village.
