With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald D. Matheson of Hays, Kansas, born in Liberal, Kansas, who passed away on July 21, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Matheson and Edith Matheson (Woodrum); his wife Betty Mae Davis; his son Dean Matheson; and his granddaughter Amber Collins (Matheson).
He is survived by: his daughters, Diana Jernigan (Monte) of Goldthwaite, TX and Shari Merritt (Daniel) of Hays. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church.
