She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvis Peters and Georgine Peters (Rupp); her husband Fred Barber; her daughter Sophia; and her great grandchild Brandon Rashada.
She is survived by: her children, Frederick (Fran) of Trophy Club, Dr. Gloria Jones (David) of Wichita and Louise Smith-Klitzke (Jason) of Wilson Lake. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
