He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund E. Scantlin and Edith M. Scantlin (McIntire); and his sister Edieta. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn S. McCollum (Nicholson) of Hays; his children, Ron Scantlin (Gosia) of Winter Garden, FL, Chance McCollum, Amber Jarriel (Billy) of Augusta, GA, Dawn Malott of Hays and Shana Pittenger (Todd) of Salina; and his brother Mike Scantlin (Angie) of Lafayette, IN. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home (1906 Pine St, Hays, KS 67601). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Hope Lodge Kansas City or Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
