He is survived by: his wife Lucy Schmidt (Robinson); his daughters, Karen Alexander (Toby) of Hays, KS and Kelly Schmidt of Hays, KS; his granddaughter Chelsey Burkholder; and his brothers, Tim Schmidt of Hays, KS, Kevin Schmidt (Linda) of Bradenton, FL, Neal Schmidt (Denise) of Fairfield, OH and Loren Schmidt (Marcia) of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
