It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene A. (Jacobs) Sander of Hays, Kansas, born in Pfeifer, Kansas, who passed away on March 8, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Jacobs and Regina Jacobs (Jacobs); and her husband John J. Sander. She is survived by: her children, Bryan Sander (Dee) of British Columbia, John Sander Jr. (Rachel) of Olathe, KS, Karen Barnes (Aric) of Humble, TX, Jo Oliver (Russ) of Wichita, KS, Dianne Dye (Phillip) of Shawnee, KS and Eileen Moore (Chris) of Dallas, TX; her sisters, Isabelle Schuckman of Aurora, CO and Carol Moeder of Arvada, CO; and her siblings-in-law, Elmer Unrein of Bennett, Clairella Jacobs of Hays, KS and Bernadette Arnhold (Gary) of Hays, KS.. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hays Community Assistance Center or Locust Grove Village in care of the mortuary.
