She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William O. Bates and Vera Bates (Capron); her husband Dr. Victor M. Eddy; her brother William "Bill" Bates; her children, Steven Eddy (Patti) of Arvada, CO, Carolyn Houchin of Chipita Park, CO and Jan Castelli (John) of Bartlesville, OK; and her grandchildren, Meghan Taylor (Corey) of Denver, CO, Allison Widder (Travis) of Westminster, CO and Kerry Roberts (Gavin) of North Ogden, UT. She was also cherished by 6 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Humane Society of the High Plains, in care of Cline's-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.
