He was predeceased by: his parents, Rowland Collins and Ruth Newby (Manning); his spouse Jean Stewart; his son Stanton Newby; and his sister Oreta Ann McKinney.
He is survived by: his son Steven Newby (Nita) of Whitewater; his daughter-in-law Linda Newby of Winfield; and his daughter Paula Bernhardt (Randall) of St. Peters, MO. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ott Funeral Home - Haven (102 N Wichita 102 n, Wichita, KS 67202). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Laurel Cemetery (5395 E Greenfield Rd, Haven, KS 67543). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Haven United Methodist Church (201 N Kansas St, Haven, KS 67543).
