He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin and Ruby Franklin (McQueen); his wife Gloria Mae Hill; his brother Denzel Franklin; and his great grandchild Piper Eschberger.
He is survived by: his daughter Frances "Dee" Eschberger of Belton, TX; his adoptive son Patrick Franklin of Haven, KS; his stepsons, Dale Cordingley of Hutchinson, KS and Robert Cordingley of Austin, TX; and his siblings, Lloyd Franklin of Hutchinson, KS and Patricia Gooden of Littleton, CO. He is also survived by two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
