She was predeceased by: her husband Wesley Burris Sr.; her son Wesley Burris Jr.; her granddaughter Tessa Matthews; and her sister Zeta Tourtillott. She is survived by: her children, Herchell S. (Oga Thompson Adams), Sheryl Burris of Neosho Rapids, Teresa Matthews (Joe) of Hartford and Steven Burris of Hartford.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's, the Shriners Hospitals for Children or to an Animal Shelter of the donor's choosing and sent in care of the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home, P.O. Box #43.
