We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Shirley Ummel of Harper, Kansas, born in Dighton, Kansas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Hemel and Lottie Hemel; her husband Gary Ummel Sr.; her siblings, Edwin, Delmar, Clifford, Reuben, Donald, Jake Jr., Betty Murphy and Nedra Sue; and her great grandchild Anson Henning.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Quenzer (Kathy) of Spring Hill, Glenda Pittman (Wayland) of Bonner Springs, Kelle Green (Norman) of Harper, Kriste Henning (Allen) of Nashville and Gary Ummel Jr. (Shannon) of Harper; and her sisters, Melva, Ila, Alice and Linda. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harper Library or Anthony Christian Church and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
