Margaret A. Mathes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret A. Mathes (Harper, Kansas), who passed away on April 7, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert W. Wiley and Ellen I. Wiley (Galloway); her husband Herbert Mathes; and her sister Donna Faye Kessler. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth "Liz" Hibbard (Vernon) of Harper, Cary Mathes (Kathy) of Marshalltown, Iowa and Michelle MacKay (Carl) of Choctaw, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Dana Hall (Joe) of Harper, Sara Ranfeld of Malcom, Iowa, Mack Hibbard of Harper, Chelsey Stultz (Kevin) of Lawrence, Kansas, Apryl Shulman (Adam) of Dallas, Texas, Alicia Uddin (Amod) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Derek MacKay (Jennie) of Shawnee, Kansas, Ryan and Brett Lemker of Boulder, Colorado; her great grandchildren, Ryan Hall (Macaley) of Harper, Matthew, Jordan Ranfeld of Malcom, Shelby Crocket (Brenden) of Lockwood, Missouri, Nolan, Wren Stultz of Lawrence, Hazel Shulman of Dallas, Logan MacKay, Aiden Uddin, Elina Uddin of Tulsa, Dylan and Deacon MacKay of Shawnee; her great great grandchildren, Sterling Hall of Harper and Luke Crockett of Lockwood; and her sister Lois McCormick of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Anthony Community Care Center or to Eastside Church of Christ, Harper and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
