He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wendall Esping and Margie Marie Esping (Reilly); and his brother-in-law Wade Hogan. He is survived by: his wife Marie Schulte; his children, Michelle Meecham (Scott) of Harper, Chad Burkholder (Tiffany) of Goddard, Shawn Burkholder of Wichita, Brenton Burkholder of Harper and Kelci Muse (Aaron) of Wichita; his grandchildren, Drew, Grace Meecham, Brecklyn Kunz, Keiarra Durbin, Chase and Taylor Burkholder; his sister Diane Hogan (Wade); and his nephews, Shawn (Genny) and Jeff Hogan (Stacie). He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation or the Harper United Methodist Church and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Homes, 613 W 14th St ~ Harper, Kansas 67058.
