It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene F Grabs of Harper, Kansas, born in Zenda, Kansas, who passed away on July 1, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick "Fritz" and Mary Grabs (Lichter). He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Steinbacher; his children, Nikki Herrmann (Tim Paul) of Mansfield, Greg Grabs (Jane) of Bismarck, Lori Wood (Dell) of Bentonville and Brad Grabs (Dawn) of Kansas City, Kansas; his grandchildren, Jarrid Herrmann (Patrice), Brandon Herrmann (Katie), Drew Herrmann (Pamela), Jason Feist, Melissa Feist, Nicole Lewis, Emily Snow (James), Joel Wood, Maggie Wood, John Grabs, Emmanuel Grabs, Frances Grabs, Luis Amiel, Christopher Amiel and Jonathan Amiel; his great grandchildren, Jason Feist, Jr., Cambrie Feist, Mia Peterson, Nora Peterson and Charlee Herrmann; and his sister Lucille Coleman of Yuba City, California. He is also survived by other family members and many friends.
Due to COVID-19, a private family graveside service will be held at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, July 4, 2020 at the Harper Cemetery with Father Bob Pinninti officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gene to The Learning Club of KCK and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
