He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Jonathan and Cular Barrett Coleman; his brothers, Ray Coleman, Frank Coleman and Lonzo Coleman; and his grandmother May Wilson (Hattie Lee Hawthorn).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Etta Korf; his daughter Gail A. Coleman of Hanston, KS; and his siblings-in-law, Ada and Carrol Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
