He was predeceased by: his parents, John Reilly and Florence Reilly (Umscheid); and his son James Patrick Reilly. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Reilly; his children, Shawn (Brandie Reilly) of Kermit, Texas, Corey (Amy Reilly) of Emporia and Carrie (Brian Moore) of Lincoln, California; and his brother Timothy (Gina Reilly) of Emporia. He is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Saint John's Catholic Church Altar Society.
