The passing of Wayne E. Spellman of Gypsum, Kansas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 6, 2024 at the age of 77. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Wayne farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Wayne is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Spellman and Irma Spellman of Gypsum, Kansas.. He is survived by: his wife Sue Spellman; and his siblings, Gary Spellman (Marva) of Lyons, Kansas and Gail Assink (Jim) of Lynden, Washington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home (601 Indiana St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gypsum Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Wayne's honor can be sent to the Lawrence Humane Society.
