He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Birk and Emma Knapp Birk; his brother Ron Birk; and his grandson Lance Birk. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Nadine Sutton; his children, Douglas Birk (Marcia) of Gridley, Jeffrey Birk (Gwen) of Gridley, Daniel Birk (Debra) of Gridley, Brian Birk (Marlas), Debra Isch (Glen) and Patricia Beyer (Jeff); his siblings, Wayne Birk, Vernon Birk (Bev), Royal, Ruth Smock, Wichita, Lois Bashaw (Bill) and Overland Park; and his sister-in-law Nellie Birk of Burlington. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, other relatives and friends.
