Elsie Mozingo Obituary
We bid farewell to Elsie Mozingo of Gridley, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 30, 2025 at the age of 90. Elsie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Brewer and Dora Brewer (Endicott); her husband Roy Franklin "Oscar" Mozingo; her son-in-law Galen Douglass; her great grandchild Hayleigh Wempe; and her siblings, Evelyn, Ruth, Doris, Dale, Gary, Donald and Alvin.
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Douglass-Metsker (Phillip) of Lawrence, KS; her son-in-law David Trahan (Debbie) of Yates Center, KS; her grandchildren, Jeremy Douglass (Amy) of Baldwin City, KS, Jana Flory (Tim) of Lawrence, KS, Brooke Tidd (Chad) of Yates Center, Holly Day (Kevin) of Yates Center and Thad Trahan (Hana) of Yates Center; and her great grandchildren, Hannah, Dalton, Brevin, Maison, Kamdyn, Mylin, Galen Dodge, Bektin, Magraw, Jack, Huxton and Trinn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (801 Garrettson St, Burlington, KS 66839). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Gridley Christian Church (617 Henley St, Gridley, KS 66852).
