He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. King, Sr. and Helen King (Throop); and his wife Mary. He is survived by: his children, Carolee Hoffman (Scott) of Basehor and Russell King; his brothers, Bob King, Jr. of Washington and Kan (Rick King); his grandchildren, Justin Tracy (Nicole), Katlyn Tracy (Josh Wiley), Ryan King, Evan King, Robin King and Curtis Soloff; his great grandchildren, Jack, Logan, Ella Tracy and Finley Wiley; and his close friend Margie Nairn of Great Bend.
Memorials have been designated to the Dr. Bill King Foundation for Healthcare at Barton Community College, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
