Veta Mae Burress Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2020, at the age of 104, Veta Mae Burress of Great Bend, Kansas, born in Alma, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Porter Irving and Mertie Gregory (Hamby); her children, Rennie Burress, Leland McAlister and Gloria Barrientez; and her children-in-law, Gary Jobes, Bob Barrientez, Joyce Burress and Loralei McAlister.
She is survived by: her children, Glen Burress of Ellinwood, Frieda Jobes of Great Bend, Wanda Dodson (Ron) of Hays and Laveta Furthmeyer (Larry) of Gorham; and her daughter-in-law Helen Burress. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Church of Christ, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
