It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Schrant of Great Bend, Kansas, born in Walker, Kansas, who passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Schrant and Caroline Anna Schrant (Hammerschmidt); his wife Armella Marie Wasinger; his son Michael Joseph Schrant; his grandson Darrel Lee Schrant; his great grandchildren, Addison and Allison Schrant; and his siblings, Everett Schrant, Norman Schrant and Regina Irvine.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Lee Schrant (Pamela) of Wichita, Timothy Schrant (Lisa) of Wichita, Deborah Ann Barnes (George) of Wichita, Susan Marie Meyer (Brian) of Winfield, Sandra Kay Schrant of Wichita, Patrick L. Schrant (Kimberly) of Harper, Thomas Edward Schrant (Tanja) of Wichita and Kelly Scott Schrant (Rebecca) of Columbus, Nebraska; and his sister Francis Schroeder (Bud) of Prescott, Arizona. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
