It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel J. Ward (Great Bend, Kansas), born in Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on May 11, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Grover Cleveland and Martha Jane Ward; his wife Anneliese Ward; his children, Robert Ward of Anthony, Mildred Dills of Great Bend and Karen Spears of Great Bend; his grandchildren, Donnie Beeler, Duane Spears and Tracey Spears; his siblings, Bob, Grover, Jr., Ellie, Mary, Violet and Jewel; and his sons-in-law, Bennie Dills and Al Spears. He was also cherished by many great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to First Christian Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
