He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nordman and Augusta Nordman (Springer); his wife Leola Schartz; and his sisters, Melba Stos and Alice Oborny.

He is survived by: his children, Ronnie (Cathy) of Olmitz, Marvin of Great Bend, Melvin (Robin) of Wichita and Kathy Pechanec (Dennis) of Timken; and his sisters, Norma Knight of Wichita and Margie Purdy of LaCrosse. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
