He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Elder and Thelma Elder (Stirrett); his son Terry Elder; and his brothers, Carl Elder and Marvin Elder.
He is survived by: his wife Leatitia Corrine Elder; his children, Mike Elder of Great Bend and Candace "Candy" Murphy (Eric) of Great Bend; his brother Ron Elder of Bethany, Ill; his grandchildren, Cori James Elder, Trevor Elder, Cara Murphy, Cailyn Murphy and Caleb Murphy; and his daughter-in-law Dawn Elder.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home (1425 S Patton Rd, Great Bend, KS 67530). The military honors was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
