He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Unruh and Ella Unruh (Ward); his wife Connie Yuebanks; his former wives, Connie Unruh (Yuebanks) and Gayle Unruh (Royset); his son Rick Unruh; and his grandson Landon Tate Unruh.

He is survived by: his daughters, Shawnda Misina (Stan) of Wilton, NH and Krista Osborne (Rich) of Riverdale, NJ; his daughter-in-law Tamela Unruh of Andover, KS; his grandchildren, Dake Unruh (Kristi) of Benton, KS, Priscilla Wilson (Travis) of Wilton, NH, Benjamin Garcia, Darian Unruh (Taylor) of Park City, KS, Haley Gullion (Hunter) of Springfield, MO, Rich Osborne (Yoseline) of Alexandria, VA and Ryan Osborne of Riverdale, NJ; his great grandchildren, Sadie, Londyn, Tate, Landon Unruh, Liam, Savannah Wilson, Emma and Brayden Gullion; and his brothers, Paul Unruh of Great Bend, Victor Unruh (Marge) of Tarpon Springs, FL. and Phillip Unruh (Bobbie) of Houston, TX..
