She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Ray and Katie Parks; her husbands, James Hanks Sr. and Eugene Hurst; her children, James Hanks Jr. and Angela Collier; her granddaughter Tammy Lynn Byerly; her great grandchild Pierce Edward Fitzmorris; and her siblings, Don, Alvin, Jerry, Iva, Lelah, Ruby, Reba and Hester.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Hanks (Darla) of Hays, Steven Hanks (Connie) of Arkansas City, Kansas, Caroline McCune (Brad) of Great Bend and Diana Osburn of Great Bend, Kansas; and her brother Paul Parks Sr. of Overland Park, Kansas.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
