He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Reavis and Winnie Spangler Reavis; and his daughter Neljean Reavis. He is survived by: his wife Darla Jane Musgrove; his sons, Keith Reavis (Sandra), William Reavis (Krystine) and Stephen Reavis; and his siblings, Peggy Cornelieus (Earnie), Patsy Rigual (Chico), Don Reavis (Rita) and David Reavis (Donna). He is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In later years he participated in the Meadowlark Hills Parkinson's Foundation.
