She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Lavern and Velma Mae Amerine (Boyd); her husband Frank Saelens of Loveland, CO; her brother Richard Amerine (Marline) of Hoisington, KS; her children, Galen Bortz (Diane) of Moorcroft, WY and Gail Mullen (JD) of Fort Collins, CO.; her stepchildren, Keri Christensen, Mike Saelens (Wendy) and Daryl Saelens; and her grandchildren, Jeanette Nelson, William Bortz, Chelsea Mullen, Jamie Mullen and Kelsey Christensen. She was also cherished by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been designated to Parkinson's and Brain Research Foundation, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
