We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2024, at the age of 92, Joseph Ray Boley of Great Bend, Kansas, born in Sedgwick, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joseph Ray had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Joseph Ray may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Boley and Marie Boley (Paden); his wife Darlene Boley (Orth) of Andale; and his son-in-law C. J. McKain. He is survived by: his daughters, Maggie McKain of Osborne, Mary McMahan (Bryan) and JoAnn Ishmael (Dugan) of Lee's Summit. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to Barton County Historical Society or Great Bend Municipal Band, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, KS.
