It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph A. Messersmith (Great Bend, Kansas), who passed away on November 9, 2019, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Messersmith and Edith Messersmith (Galliart); his stepfather Bill Galliart; and his siblings, Theresa Ritchie and Gary Galliart.
He is survived by: his former wife Judith Maier; his children, Joseph "Jody" and Candice "Candi"; and his nephew Maurice Ritchie of Pawnee Rock, Kansas.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the First Street Church of God in Hoisington, Kansas.
