It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Marie McDowell of Great Bend, Kansas, born in Salina, Kansas, who passed away on March 9, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo F. Hergenreder and Alta Hergenreder (Cooley); her sister Mary Frances Hergenreder; and her husband Bill McDowell. She is survived by: her sisters, Virginia Frizell of Great Bend, Kansas and Cindi Wood of Great Bend, Kansas; her nephews, Eric Frizell (Mary Turner), Neil Frizell (Beverly) and Scott Wood (Heather Sandell); her son Judson; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Erin Frizell Norris (Michael), Reed Frizell, Anna Frizell and Robert Frizell; and her stepsons, Walter Dick, Jr. and Roger Alan Dick. She is also survived by three children, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
